Cardinham Clare Valley Cabernet Merlot 2003
Blackish purple in colour. This is a powerful and alluring red blend. Intense, Well spiced and oaked with hints of smoky character. Persistent pure and distinct fruit ensues with potency. Think blackberries, blackcurrants, mulberries and
plums with hints of prune, tea leaf and liquorice. Smooth silky soft tannins make this a well rounded ample bodied wine. $15 ish. Try it with roast lamb. Drink 2006-2013.

2008 Cabernet Merlot

Fermentation: Aged for 24 months in seasoned barrels, 50% French / 50% American.

Colour: Full bodied, deep purple colour.

Aroma: The aroma of violets lift from Christmas cake, berries and brambly blackberries.

Palate: A home style wine, that’s mouth filling with a soft round palate and lip smacking flavour. Powdery tannins bring you back to the bottle for more.

Summary: Check it out now and look out for changes in the wine over time.
