Cardinham Estate Stradbrooke Shiraz 2004

"Dark, brooding, muscular and masculine, but with no trace of coarse alcohol or hard oak, this is a concentrated wine that tastes like a premium reserve at an entry level price. For bang for your buck, it doesn’t get much bigger than this!"

Our Wines...

2008 Shiraz

Fermentation: Aged for 24 months in new and mature barrels, 60% French / 40% American.

Colour: A brilliant purple hue remains the signature of this wine.

Aroma: Sweet vanillin oak with dark opulent fruit, not full on like many regions in SA, more subtle than that.

Palate: There are smatterings of mocha, we think from the oak, and refreshing minty acid backbone holding the wine together.

Summary: That acid will play a big role in the coming years, thinking 7 - 10, but now will be fine.......
