(Since 2001)

Intense, tight, serious-styled wine. Chocked with hearty blackberry, earth and mint flavours and while I’m sure there’s some oak too, it’s melted into the wine very well. A good sign, of course. Mouth-coating tannin and, as much as you can tell with such a coiled-tight wine, very good length. Reckon they have a goodun’ here.

2006 Stradbrooke Selection Shiraz

Fermentation: Aged for 3 years in new and mature barrels, 60% French / 40% American.

There is a delicate force to this wine, full and rich mouth feel, coating tannins and a lingering finish. Elegance is a term often used to describe Clare Valley Shiraz and this example is no exception.

The Stradbrooke selection of wine are iconic and represent the best of Cardinham Estate. Hand crafted, basket pressed and estate bottled. This is a truly personal wine experience.

Maturity ad complexity has been gained from extended maturation in barrels, further cellaring will help this wine to shine. Enjoy the decadence of Cardinham Estates flagship wine.
